South Jakarta – Musisi Amerika Serikat, Marilyn Manson, telah merilis singel baru, “As Sick As The Secrets Within”. Lagu ini menandai perilisan pertama penyanyi rock yang mengejutkan ini melalui kontrak barunya dengan Nuclear Blast Records. Kabar tentang kerja sama dengan Nuclear Blast muncul pada bulan Mei, lalu, hanya beberapa minggu setelah rumor yang menyebutkan bahwa Manson telah menyelesaikan pengerjaan album baru. Sebelum “As Sick As The Secrets Within”, Marilyn belum merilis musik baru sejak album. “We Are Chaos” tahun 2020.
Bersamaan dengan perilisan single “As Sick As The Secrets Within”, musisi yang mempunyai nama asli Brian Hugh Warner tersebut, juga melepas video musik yang disutradarai oleh Bill Yukich. “‘As Sick As The Secrets Within’ adalah pandangan pribadi ke dalam hidup saya dan saya bangga dapat berbagi seni dan visi saya dengan Anda,” tulis Marilyn Manson tentang lagu tersebut dalam sebuah posting Instagram.
Marilyn Manson kembali ke panggung pada Jumat malam pada 2 Agustus 2024 untuk penampilan langsung pertamanya sejak sebelum pandemi di konser pembukaan tur arena musim panas bersama Five Finger Death Punch.. Pertunjukan di Stadion Hersheypark, Hershey, Pennsylvania, menandai penampilan Manson yang sesungguhnya sejak selesainya tur utamanya pada musim gugur 2019.
Bergabung dengan Marilyn Manson Manson di pertunjukan Hershey adalah band turnya saat ini, yang terdiri dari anggota lama Tyler Bates pada gitar dan Gil Sharone (mantan The Dillnger Escape Plan pada drum, bersama dengan anggota baru, Reba Meyers (Code Orange) pada gitar dan Matt Montgomery (alias Piggy D.; mantan ROB ZOMBIE) pada bass. Set yang berisi 12 lagu Manson tersebut mencakup hits-hitsnya seperti “The Beautiful People” dan “The Dope Show”, namun secara mengejutkan tidak menampilkan singel terbarunya, “As Sick As The Secrets Within”, yang telah tersedia pada hari Jumat sebelumnya.
